It's already November!

Wow has time flown so far this year. Also i let quite a bit of time go by since the last blog update. Anyways, we have been so busy! School started back in August, well the last week of August, and right away school work began piling on. I'm taking 6 classes this semester, 1 for my major(elementary education), 2 general education classes, and 3 for my minor(music). In the beginning of September the UVU music department was celebrating becoming an all Steinway School and held a celebration concert for it (which was free). It featured The 5 Browns!!

A few weeks later we went down to Las Vegas to go through the temple with Hillary. The whole Ashman family was there...it was wonderful!

Finally my favorite month rolled around, October! Besides being the one month of the year that the three major sports are going on (football, basketball, and baseball), it's also (to me) the most beautiful! I love the vivid colored leaves, the crisp air, the sound of marching bands in the distance, and weather that's perfect for wearing sweaters (except not here i guess since it was in the 60s and 70s for a lot of october). Over conference weekend, we went for a drive through Hobble Creek Canyon to Diamond Fork Canyon as we listened to one of the sessions of conference. I wish there wasn't as many pine trees in the mountains, but it was still beautiful nonetheless.

While we were driving in Diamond Fork Canyon we drove past a lot of cows wandering the ranches up there. They were so cute!

The Tuesday following conference was the first band concert this semester!

The next Saturday for my birthday we went to the BYU football game, and went out to eat at one of my favorite places, Iggys! It was a great birthday!!

I cant remember which day, but one of the days in October in between classes, I took some pictures of the leaves on campus. They were perfect colors!!

The sunday before Halloween Hillary had a dessert/farewell party after her farewell talk. The dessert i decided to bring was from one of my favorite blogs, Annie's eats. They were Apple Pie Cupcakes!!

For Halloween we really didn't have any plans. We went over a friends house to watch movies the day before and that's about it. On actual Halloween I did carve a mini pumpkin we had bought earlier in the month. Look how cute it turned out!

Friday November 5th was Hillary's last day at Gloria's Little Italy. Vince and I met Bill and Jolena there to get some gelato and to say goodbye. She left to go on her mission to Rome, Italy on November 10!

The next day was Kaden's 9th birthday party. I can't believe how old he is!! Anyway the kids had a lot of fun, and I loved being able to spend time with them. Funny story, while the party was going on, a black pug wandered over and just hung out for a while. He found some pizza crusts and of course caught the attention of the kids haha.

This past weekend was mostly spent doing homework, but I did learn to knit! I'm so excited for the homemade gifts I'm making this year for Christmas!
